OUR PROGRAMS
A community-based intervention program with a bottom-up approach that combats illegal evictions and prevents the loss of New York City's rent-stabilized and rent-controlled affordable housing stock. The program aims to identify tenants at risk of homelessness; address their critical need to remain in their homes and ensure that their homes are safe and affordable.
The homeownership program aims to empower individuals and families by facilitating their journey towards owning a home. This initiative addresses the growing need for affordable housing and strives to make homeownership a reality for those who might not otherwise have access to it. Key components of the program include financial assistance, educational resources, and support services tailored to prospective homeowners.
P.A.'L.A.N.T.E. provides legal and mediation assistance to residents acting as a tenant or tenant association representative, in order to help tenants: remain in their apartments, overturn illegal rent increases, identify unhealthy hazardous conditions, file housing code violations with the appropriate government agencies, present findings to the landlord and engage the landlord in renovating apartments with housing code violations and unsafe living conditions.​
P.A.'L.A.N.T.E.'s Stand & Deliver program is a youth empowerment program that gives youths in Manhattan and the Bronx a role in combating homelessness while gaining marketable skills and forging positive relationships with community members. This program is a peer-led, hands-on and runs all year round. We recognizes the urgent need to help develop the academic and social skills of at-risk youth. Today we train, educate and inspire youth to fulfill their potential.
A tenants association is a union of all. When tenants work together, they can apply the most pressure to make a landlord provide services, make repairs, and stop harassment - and get the best possible home for the rent they are paying.
